Almost got above freezing around noon so I decided to try and get out for a while with the X-3. I went to an old church that was built in 1904 that is about 10 miles from my house. When I got there an elderly man met me outside and we talked about metal detecting. He said that he had a detector but someone borrowed it and never brought it back. He said that the church had been hunted before but I decided to give it a go anyway. I found a real small lock that looked like it came off a jewelry box about 10 inches deep. I sure thought that the site would give up some silver but so far all I found were some memorial pennies. I plan to get back out there when it warms up some. There is still a lot of area that I did not get to search.

I have a cousin in Houston, TX, also, and she and her husband have been living down there most of their married life! They both are older than I am! Naomi is my 3rd cousin but younger and raised on Beefork Creek Road like I was! Louise is a cousin! Her mother was my mother's Aunt, who was my Great Aunt, so Louise was mom's niece and I think my second cousin................sure is difficult to remember all the kinfolk as there are so many of them! I have cousins about everywhere and haven't seen most of them for years! There is another one in TX, too, in a Senior Citizen's Residence with her husband, but they have never had anything to do with my side of the family....but her father, was Mom's uncle and my Great Uncle! His wife, Aunt Alice, was always snobbish and thought she was better than others....Grace Faye was their only child and she inherited millions! Uncle Bert invested in Real Estate buying apartments and homes and renting them for income! Dad and mom were just poor working farmers and so looked down upon by her but not him!
