Great for small low conductive metal such as pewter buttons.Press the coin and jewelry button activating the conductive audio then with the cursor accept every number, only reject -10. Iron will now give a high tone and low conductivity targets will give a low tone which is very easy to identify. Since iron will give a high tone be sure to check your meter so you will not miss any non ferrous targets. I like to use manual sensitivity when possible. If ground conditions will not let you operate with a smooth threshold at a minimum of 16, use auto. Since most colonial sites are loaded with iron use trash density high. Try it some time.
