Coming back Home

Well....... me being a freshwater hunter and after thinking I could find other freshwater machines that could produce more gold jewelry for me......I'm coming back home to Tesoro where it all started for me.

My most recent machine was the CTX and it didn't impress me like I thought it was going to. I was not finding the small gold and gold chains that I use to with the Tiger Shark. I found large gold with the CTX....but I found that with the Tiger Shark and Sand Shark also. It's the small stuff that gets lost the most....and I want to find that stuff. I also owned the AT Gold and it found small gold, but was limited to shallow water just like the CTX and the warranty is only several years.

So here I am back where it all started for me. I'm just getting ready to purchase a new Tiger Shark, Sand Shark and Lobo ST. I like having great service (where you actually talk to a human the first time you call) and quick service with any problem that might come up. It's all about the personal touch and hand written notes by the techs that you miss. Things like that make me feel that I actually matter as a customer. And the warranty can't be beat.

So live and learn.......

I have heard how good the tiger is on small gold. You can go any were with those great machines.Ocean to desert.Glad you are back! ;)

Welcome to the club! So many of us have spent more thinking the "New Technology" will deliver better or more great finds. Don't get me wrong, I know first hand these high end detectors are great, the information on the display is really cool and can be helpful as well, but, in the end, you don't need to spend $1000 and up to find a silver coin or gold ring 8 inches down. Tough to build a better mouse trap.

the tiger is just that , A tiger, very good a small things and a very good water detector,

Hi Lake Hunter,

I've had my Tiger shark since 2001, never gave me any problems, very reliable machine. It goes beep and I dig, the TS has added to my wife's ring collection and returned several class rings to some happy people who lost them. Good luck with yours.

Like you, I've climbed up the lofty peaks and found things much nicer on a comfortable plateau. Part of this is being satisfied with what you have because you've made the trip and know empirically what you are losing and what you are gaining.
