Compadre rumor

Rumor has it that Tesoro is going to offer an 8" coil on the Compadre. Supposed to be listed in the new catalog. Anybody else heard about it or just another rumor?

I heard from a dealer that Tesoro was going to offer the outlaw with a 8" coil and reduce the price. but still make the three coil deal avalible but who knows maybe the compadre to

That setup on the Compadre is already available in Europe, or one very similar to it.

I know lots of people in America have been asking Teroso to make a larger coil available on the Compadre.

I sure hope its true!

Doesn't. show it on the web site. Outlaw with either coil option is, however.

Wonder if it will be hardwired like the 5.75 why not just make it interchangable or would that just put it in the silver Umax catagory Just askin

Had not run across that rumor before now.

My experience with a Compadre with one of the 9x8 inch coils wired in is that the target response gets strange with more than one target under the coil. Stranger than other detectors I've used in the same situation. To try to figure out what is going on I raise the coil until only one target is being found or I can separate the targets with what is effectively a smaller search area of the raised coil.

I think an option of a 7 inch coil may be more useful than going to the 8 inch coil. Getting into a trashy spot with the Compadre is not fun with a coil that is too big for the task of dissecting the trash.

That's already posted on Tesoros website
http://www.tesoro.com/product/detectors/outlaw/

Now let's see what street price will be.
I think pricing creeped up some, on all Tesoros as well.
Good for me cause now I can ask more for my older Tesoro units................

If it is true, Im sure some folks will like the simplicity of the Compadre and the larger coverage area with an 8" versus the 5.75"

They made the Compadre for years wih the 7" coil and it worked great.

Should be able to go back to that no problem.

I like my 5.75 on the compadre, stable and good on small targets. The only negative side is coverage, but for that I use the vaquero

Will it still be good on those small gold chaines and other small items , like the 5 3/4 coil?

My first detector was the Compadre with 7" coil. Really liked it, but made the mistake of selling it. Found a used one last fall so now I have another. I'm of the opinion that the 7" coil is a good compromise between depth, coverage, and separation in trash although I've made some good finds with the 5.75 on other detectors.

Its not a rumor. Sorry guys I have been out of the loop. My mother in-law had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and I went up to Reno to help with her recovery. And you can purchase the Outlaw with 1 coil only now as well.

good, another nice option would be to sell separately the 10x12dd for the Umax, I've hearing some folks interested on it.

A quick recovery for her
