Compadre with volume control?

Topo

New member
Hi guys and gals

adding a volume control. have any of you made this mod for the Compadre? I've heard that you have to place a pot between a yellow cable running to the headphone exit, Im not sure that's true.
I already have headphones with volume control but when Im in the forest I prefer not to get tangled on trees, and Im living in Europe, so no life-time warranty

cheers!

Put some duct tape over as much of the speaker grid as you need to get the volume you would like to hear.:)

I thought about doing that too but I'm afraid the sound vibration could damage something inside the box

a fast solution Im currently using is connecting a normal music headphones and wrapping the cable around the handle

That's crazy looking...lol

Sure like the black box designs they have over there tho.

I would rather have a black Vaquero than a lavender one which makes me ask this question...

Was the color design and naming for that detector by someone that just watched Brokeback mountain or whatever? sheeeeeesh

(snicker)

I found this video for adding volume control to an ace 250, I have to buy the potentiometer and tell you the results

yes, some kind of stealth look, but I rather like the original tesoro look, there are so many black detectors out there
