COMPADRE

I just cant put it down. I have ben detecting for about 30 years now. I have had them all. The $1500.00 detectors that play a lot of music. Screens that confuse me. Right now I am down to just a few MDs. I just can not stop using that little $160.00 COMPADRE. It is so easy to use. You learn what it is telling you, Just like my wife, I learned a long time ago what she is trying to tell me. I get out every morning for about 45 minutes before I go to work. Always find something. This morning I found a few pieces of jewelry... Nothing fancy. A little change. One signal was just a little whisper that was not very good . I pushed a little sand away with my foot. ( I was in a tot lot ), the signal was a little better. I kept digging, Maybe only 4" down. Now a stronger signal. Dug a little farther and what did I find , at about 7 or 8" was a nickel. This little detector can not be stopped. If only them their big detectors were their they would ron away and hide. How can you put down such a little monster like the COMPADRE,, Happy hunting to all and for you big detectors ,, GOOD LUCK... KEN

I know exactly what you mean.

I agree allthough I have been using the E trac almost exclusively lately I will always love my Compadre

Sometimes it seems simpler is better. Tesoro sure seems to have a habit of big performance for little money. I know I have been bit with the Tesoro big and don't see things changing anytime soon.

I have made more good finds with my Compadre than with any other metal detector I have owned. And I have owned a bunch.

I love those whisper signals. Sometimes it's a tab at 6", sometimes something nice.

I love me some Tesoros...never tried a compadre but from all the bru ha ha I have heard about them over the years...they have a loyal following for sure. maybe when I retire someday i will try one...

I have also tested my COMPADRE against other detectors that I sold. Not one would hit on a 14k gold chain. All them extra freq. and they just can not make a sound. It is a shame such a little detector can beat the sox off them high dollar units. You see so many of the big ones for sale, but you cant find a used COMPADRE. What does that tell you. HAPPY HUNTING,,,,. KEN
