Competition hunting with the Euerotek Pro

I have one with the 11 inch coil on it and been wanting to try it out, so I took it to our club hunt this weekend to try it as it seems like it was fast responding. I took off the 11 inch coil and added a NEL coil I got off the classifieds. Now the hunt I was trying it in was the old Roman hammered coin hunt and as we know many are very small and we had a chance to check them out with our detectors so we didn't disc them out. When I turned on my Euerotek pro to check one of the coins out it chattered like I have never seen one do before, so I turned the sensitivity down to 3 and it seem to settle down a bit and though I would be OK now. My disc I set at 25 to make sure it would see the coins. Now when ever anyone got with in 8 feet of me the Euro Pro would start chattering so I couldn't tell a signal from a false even at 3 sensitivity and wonder if anyone else notice this if you use it for competition hunting. When not close to anyone the detector was just quiet and sometimes wondered if it was on. For the half hour hunt I did get 9 of the small coins and 2 buttons from the ones that were thrown in the grass.

Used mine in one a couple months ago with the 8 inch stock coil and did not have a problem with any crosstalk from others . now don't know if I would have had a problem with the NEL because I got it after wards . Sold it a few weeks back . Going to get the smart coil instead and use it and a Amigo II for comp hunting

I have to run my omega on freq 3 to avoid interference with the Eurotek. even then if it's within 5-10ft it will cut detection distance in half despite not audible indication of crosstalk. Any Greek detector, Eurotek, F5, bounty hunter platinum turned on within 20ft could have cause this behavior.

I Had an omega that I couldn't get within 20 ft of a buddy
it would drive his alpha nuts
