Computer problem?

Several have sent posts on this and other forums on this site and where the little white square box usually has jpeg attachments (that's what it says when I put the mouse pointer on it) it now only seems to have a little dot in the middle. I confused one poster as he thought he didn't send his attachment but some others said they saw it fine. Can anyone help?
 
Well,, I have not had a problem. I am not sure what box you are talking about. I cant find any that say that when pass the cursor over it. Or that say that in any way.
Where is this "white box"?

Ok, on the forum listing you have the topics of the day in blue and underlined. Then at the end of the post topic is the word new in red. THEN, right next to that is a box, more like an indentation in the page, with a barely visible dot in the middle. I'm thinking that someone with a correctly functioning computer has something besides this almost invisible box and that is the reason I can't pick up some attachments.
 
I guess I should have given an example. Take the post "Barber half today". At the end is the word in red "new". Now what does your computer show that's to the right of that? Thanks.
 
slingshot, are you talking about the camera icon that shows there are pictures posted? that is the only thing i see on my screen.........roger
 
I think I know what he is seeing.

You may have your security system in your PC seeing it as a threat and it will not show it. It just shows a square box with a certain icon in the middle? It may be detecting it as melicious as a protection and not allowing it into your system.

Sometimes this happens with some photos on my PC

I see it now.What that shows is a picture of a camera,(it is not a live link) appears when someone has posted pictures in thier thread. Why it shows as a white box for you is a good question.
Once you open the thread can you see the pictures? Obviously you can post here.

Seems someone should know whats up with that. and how to adjust it.

Thanks. Found one with color coded shapes on another post that was supposed to be a video-others were able to watch it but I could not open it.
