just asking this probing question the reason being i have lots of land to search on a old manor grounds, with the quattro im scared y you might ask? the reason im scared is because its pinpointing is lets say needs mastering, thats y i bought a 5" detech concentric coil pinpointing gr8 , the 10" minelab is gr8 for depth and yes ive been picking up william111 sixpences date 1716 at 10" but ive tried the wigggle ive tried them all all i seem to do is dig large radius holes which are not contusive to digging in old grounds i like to leave things as i find them, so my vote goes to concentric coils, please let me no your favourite . thanks mick england

Thanks for your input. I have not tried a concentric coil with the Quattro but would like too. I have the 7.5" DD and pinpointing is no problem. I can dig very small plugs. Only trouble with DD is that it takes a little more time to pinpoint than with my other machines with concentric coils. The 10.5" - yes sometimes I am off the mark and have to re-dig or widen the hole.

thanks for your reply mirage as i say i found no loss of depth with the detech 5" concentric coil, it cost me

I have a detech 8 inch concentric on my Quattro,I really like it,pinpointing is fantastic and it's much better in trash, depth loss is very minor and sensitivity to small items increased.
