been messing around with the settings and yesterday dug up 3 chains one necklace a couple of inches down then a anklet with a heart all thin chains now the reason i belive it picked it up was the charm was bigger than the chain so my question is i got a small silver chain about 7 inches down in the dry sand with no charm at all it actually picked it up unbeliveable this is the smallest chain yet i got a phone camera so here is a photo of it usually i get chains because of the charms but not chains that are jest chains interesting so i had been messing with the settings i had it on 10 Us and the other knob in between slow and fast 12.oclock ( i usually have it on fast cause i find it a bit dificult to pin-point when in the slow mode) any way the other setting is the threshold now ive always been told to put the threshold at the point to were you jest hear it faintly now on the gqv2 it is not a constant threshold it wavers intermitantly but is constant so what i did was turn back the threshold till i jest heard a peep of a threshold as i moved the coil back and forth so it was really quiet till i went over a target thats how i stubled on the small chain down about 7 inches it was kinda rusty also so it had been there for quite some time so this tells me nobody else was picking up on this chain cause its in a well hunted area strange so any way i will try hunting more like this and see what else comes up any feedback waould be appriciated in other words all this time ive had two goldquests ive been putting the settings in the wrong place thoughts larry ca
