TONE JUNKY

New member
Last Sunday, I hit a deep target, came in at silver tone, scoped out big. After digging almost a foot & still no target, I almost gave it up for a huge underground pipe, or large piece of iron, but my instinct drove me to keep digging & prove to myself that it was a pipe or something else. "You must see the target, good or bad", I say. Finally, at about 14-15", I found a 1 7/8" round disc & could barely make out a design on it. After cleaning it on Monday, I could see the words FALCON,(at top), & KNIGHT,(at bottom) & a symbol of a Falcon in the middle. I googled "FALCON KNIGHT" & it turned out to be a Radiator cap symbol for an automobile that was made back in the 1920"s. If you want more info, google it & see for yourself. Its interesting. If you don't have computer access, email me & I will give you more info. Here's the pics:

It is very true that most people would just say that it is just another piece of Trash, but how many people have actually dug or even seen another one of these Relics before. I bet it would be very few if any, and that is why it is such a great find. You just don't see stuff like this every day and it just shows how much detail was used back then on even the simplest parts. Very Unique Find TONE JUNKY! Got to love this hobby!!! Hope you find more interesting finds and Good Luck and HH.

Yeah, Thanks, Snowy, but I've got all the info. Its neat! They only made 17000 of these cars back in the 1927-28. Apparently, at least one of them was in New Orleans.
