Confused !!!!!

Took the ACE250 with its new 9x12 coil to
the school where i did well last year..

It was sloppy wet water in the holes.. I found
3 cents..BUT the Ace wents nuts... i set sens
at 3 in jewlery and coin modes.. it still bounced all over
liked id hit the mother lode!!!
I couldnt bare to see the GTI all sloppy even with
the cover, so I went with the ace..
Is there really that much of a difference betwwen the 9x12 coil on
the ace vs the std GTI coil.. the GTI always behaved nicely in
that school yard.. Or is it because the ground is soaked??

it was still fun getting out but MAN i Hate to clean all that MUCK!!!:puke:

To reboot the 250, turn on the machine then press and hold the power button till you hear 2 beeps(5-10 seconds). Once you hear the 2 beeps it is reset. It has happened to me before. It always corrects the problem.

Did the reboot... it still keep beeping and
ringing... maybe loose coil connection?
altho it seemed titte

Man, that's the pits. Sorry to see that you're having troubles with your Ace. I dunno:shrug:Maybe call Garrett:garrett:I hope ya get it worked out. Good luck with that. Happy Hunting!:)

It CANT be the new coils size can it?? i mean maybe i
need to crank snes down more ???

Set it at sensitivity 2-that is the setting that eliminates ALL electrical interference from power lines in my experience. If still nuts, I had my coil wire wrapped around the shaft so tight that it PULLED on the connector every time I swept the coil and it did the same thing. If it is electrical inteference, I have gone to the same schools at different times of the day and the inteference mysteriously disappeared-and this was with several brands of detectors. Strangely, I can operate the Ace at sensitivity 2 in these areas and the other detectors can't because of their inability to go low enough in sensitivity-another well thought-of bit of engineering by Garrett.

Good thoguths guys Thanks..

Its a long season ILL figure it out
