I have been detecting w/ an Explorer II for years. I've just recently realized the Safari was out. Can anyone tell me what advantages I will have? I normally hunt using the Iron mask feature but I don't think the Safari has this. Would the Explorer SE be a better direction? Just asking for guidance. Thanks in advance.

If you like the II why change? I don't think the Safari would be an upgrade? I never used the II but it has a lot more bells and whistles than the Safari. The Safari maybe just a little lighter and maybe just a little faster? When swinging the Safari I maybe 2 or 3 feet past the target before it hits so I have to back track to find the target only because the detectors that I have used I could swing much faster. I haven't quite got the swing yet but having a ball with it. But according to many of the posts on the Safari, I guess I am not quite normal ... Z
