Consistency and Ground Understanding with the Gold Bug/G2

I’ve been spending time getting more familiar with the Gold Bug/G2 and I’ve noticed that consistency really comes down to how well the ground is balanced and how patiently the target audio is listened to.
What’s been helping me is taking an extra moment to ground balance carefully and then working slow, especially in mineralized soil. The machine really speaks clearly when it’s set right. Light quick sweeps tend to miss those softer hits, but a steady slow pass lets the good signals separate from ground noise. The difference can be night and day. also found that small adjustments on sensitivity go further than pushing it high. A clean steady response has been more productive than chasing max depth with a noisy threshold.
Just sharing in case it helps someone else dial their setup in a bit smoother.
