Cortes

The Cortes is one of the few Tesoro's that I haven't used but my guess is that it is a great detector afterall it is a :tesoro::thumbup:.

I've had good results with mine. The display could be a bit larger and the ground balance is only effective in all metal, discrimination mode is preset. That said, I've retrieved a lot of coins from parks etc. using it.

I just got mine and have only used it an hour or so but I like it. I took it out in my yard that's been done a thousand times with about 20 different detectors and found a 1965 dime at 4 inches and a tent/tarp grommet at 6-7 inches and it was smaller than a penny. Really liking it so far.

It is a great detector Had one and like it just that i kept watching the target ID and not listening to the tone so it was not for me but it was accurate on dimes and copper cents , zincs danced around and nichols came in fairly good also has great depth in all metal

I used a Cortes for about 8 years. Was very good on rings... Silver and gold. Hot on coins. Found my first large cent with it. Joined up with a Cleansweep coil and you have a really good soccer field machine. Enjoy it.
