Could a 11" DD from Teknetics G2 fit a Gamma/Omega?

Hello,

I'd like to buy a 11"DD for my Gamma. Since this coil is quite expensive here in Italy, and cannot find a used one, I'm thinking to buy a used G2 as a second unit with different frequency and share coils between the two metal detectors.

Someone told me that the concentric coil from the Gamma fits perfectly on the G2 but 11" DD G2 coil don't run on a Fisher F5, so I think that will not run on my Gamma... is it true?

Thank you!

The G2 DD coil runs on the Omega,Gamma, Delta, Alpha too. But the standard Omega coil or the standard Gamma coil will not run on the G2.

If you follow this link, you will see that the Gamma concentric coil works on the G2:

Sorry, the right link of the video is this:

(Best if you load in Windows Media Player and not in browser)

The G2/GB were designed for DD coils .There is a thread by Dave J at the top of this forum that covers this subject.

I know... In both threads Dave J. tells that G2 works with fratbros DD coils, but I want to know if the stock G2 DD coil will work on a fratbros metal detector.

I ask this because I heard that this G2 DD coil has not worked on a Fisher F5...
