Couple hours at park with F4

Coinstar

It was a sunny day today. So after work I hit the park for a couple of hours. Found a little more clad. I started around park benches. This is where I found most of the pull tabs and screw caps. Then I went to a random part of open field. I found a lot less tabs and screw caps and more clad. I also found a few full sized crushed aluminum cans. Go figure.
What really made my day is when I got a solid quarter signal, I bent down after pinpointing and found a fresh plug not one inch from where I pinpointed. I thought for sure I was going to find a pull tab someone had left behind. But low and behold. Under a small root was a well soiled quarter! Gotta love it.
Until next time..

Gotta love the parks,I pay close attention to those benches, look at the grass and see if they have been moved recently,I noticed that at a small ball park last year where they had moved the bleachers, man I cleaned up on the clad that day!!! After that me and my buddy would move the small aluminum ones, always be sure to put them right back!! I have permission to hunt a small gated ball park, all they told me was leave nothing but your footprints!!! hh rick in mi.

Got the metal detecting bug this past fall, after some shopping bought a F70.Found lots of clad in local parks and soccer fields,no silver yet, still have lots to learn about the machine.Really enjoy this forum and all the great advice.Snow bound at this time and looking forward to spring as are so many of us.Looks like my fishing time in spring may get a little shorter as I really am hooked on this metal detecting.Keep posting all those great finds!

Welcome to the forum, Dale. We are all just one big happy family of swingers. Although I still do fish, when I retired I started early morning detecting and following a detector around has taken a big chunk out of my fishing time, too. I do, though, from time to time, combine them both. Hope your snow melts soon. HH jim tn

Steve,I am really new to metal detecting,I have maybe 25 hrs.on unit and I can only tell you the machine is a lot better than I am.Will take awhile to learn what it is telling me,aways learned something every time out and the F70 seems like it will adapt to many different conditions,I am sure you will like yours.
