Couple of hunts with silver.:garrett:

Once again it took a couple of hunts to garner up enough silver to merit a photo shot or two.

Chris and I went back to the new spot last Th and we hunted several hours for a silver dime apiece. My piece was a well traveled 29d and along with it I got 8 wheat cents some clad, the skull ring and the mini. Why that 3 ringer was in that spot I'll never know. Guess those Union boys were all over the area when they occupied Memphis for pretty much all of the war. Chris's dime was a nice 1911d Barber.

This morning I had a 2 1/2 hour hunting window before hooking with with one of our sons and daughter in law and the wife for hitting some estate sales. I didn't travel to far, but the spot I went to does on occasion give up a piece or two of silver. This morning it yielded a 41d Merc, 47d Rosies and a unknown wheat cent, of the most consequence.

Had on the 11dd coil for both recent hunts. Everyone have a great weekend. HH jim tn

Nice silver, as usual, Jim! I'm with John, melt that skull ring, will ya? :yikes:

dgruff, its a Wilcox with a 2" wide blade. It cuts a plug easy and one can really get deep with it, but being the blade is so narrow sometimes the plug will break up. They actually make a little longer style with a wider blade that I am going to give a try. This one looks fairly meager to any prying eyes, though.

William, that skull ring has already been trashed. Not even worth recycling. LOL You all take care. HH jim tn
