Couple of Nashville hunts.:teknetics:

Wife and I spent most of last week up in Nashville and between our sons shoulder surgery, therapy sessions and daily bouts of rain I didn't get to hunt to much, but on Friday did manage a morning 2 hours outing and 2 1/2 in the afternoon. The park I hit wasn't to far from one stretch of the Cumberland river. Anyway, was using the Omega with 10" DD coil and did manage to dig 4 silver pieces, a Southwest sterling ring and 3 Roosevelt dimes. In so doing, dug a fair bit of clad, a "B B Kings Blues Club" item, (downtown Memphis) lead ball?, neat button, junk ring with 17 inside of band and a wheat and Canada cent. G B on the Omega was 49-51. In my area it runs 62 or so using the same coil. Sen 99, disc 1 and d3 tones. Beginning to really like this coil. It is in its element when sifting through the trash and runs very quiet. And, it loves coin spills. Now if it would just quit raining......HH jim tn

Nice going! Those are some nice finds you got there Jim. All this rain needs to go away. I'm ready to do some hunting.:detecting:

Way to go on your hunts, always nice to find silver. What kind of depth are you getting on that Omega on dimes, quarters, assuming ideal ground conditions and with what coil/s?

Of the four coils I have for the Omega the 11" DD is the deepest. I've dug a couple of dimes and 1 quarter I remember, at 8" measured with the 9" Pro Pin pointer. I mainly hunt in pretty heavy trash and have dug numerous targets in the 6-7" depth range with the 5" DD coil and am digging targets at that depth with the two 10" coils. I do run sen max and 1 disc. My ground here in W Tn is fairly mild. HH jim tn

Man! Thats a nice stack of clad...You should have thrown that stuff back! Oh, Hey, and a few silvers too, pretty much a normal day for you then?
