Spent a couple of hours in the woods today. Found the injun and a wheatie (20) 10 feet apart. Both had been shot! They were bent pretty good. I put them in the vise and straightened them out. Soil had eaten them up pretty bad.
The 06 was about 4.5 inches down, clear signal, VDI 61.
 
even though it was bent. This is the fourth IH I've ever found, the second with the DFX. The first I found 25 years ago; the second 20 years ago; the third last year. (Fifteen years of no metal detecting....)
It's still April and I've already found my yearly quota for indian head (1) and silver quarter (1 - 1943)!!
