couple of questions about the f75

For those of you who have used the f75. How does it perform in iron, (particularly small iron bits and pieces)? Falsing issues? And do you find the target id to be accurate at reasonable depth? Thanks

F75 original Does hit small iron and ID's as a coin many times... Does hit rusty pop off bottle caps ,and Id's as a coin. Does hit 6 - 7 inch early 60's pull tabs and Id's as a coin almost always. Deeper coins jump around on the ID.
Pretty good on ID up to about 6" in my dirt.

It does find coins other machines miss due to fast reset response. The 5" coil is deadly on coins in heavy trashed out parks. NOTE This is the Original release F75..

I use an F70 which is a close cousin to the F75 along with the T2 because they are all based on the same basic core engine but with several programming differences.
This is my experience in those situations you described.
In good soil I learned to hunt in sites with a ridiculous amount of iron, rusted, large, medium and thousands of tiny and small bits and pieces.
It took some work but I eventually noticed some repeatable behavior that gave me clues as to what was really down there masked more than I have ever experienced before and I became extremely successful.
None of the dig me clues, behavior and numbers were obvious in that situation like shallow targets in sites with very little trash would be, at first what I saw and heard made no sense but soon enough I could decipher the hidden language that most detectors and especially Fishers possess and could target and dig non ferrous targets at will.
This involved learning a different language but that language was there, I did learn it and I have used what I learned to be successful at many iron infested sites since.
Head engineer Dave J. at FTP along with well respected scientist NASA Tom have both stated the detectors built on this platform are some of the best performing units on the planet in iron if set up correctly.
I have many great things in my collection including a few bucket listers that proved it to me.

I now hunt in a totally different environment with heavy mineralized and mostly heavy iron infested and infused soil and again with a little work I was able to decode this difficult puzzle and get deeper with better ID's than anything I have used before and evidently most others around here because I have picked up some more stellar bucket list targets in some heavily hunted public park sites that I know have been hunted for 60 years.
All these great targets were heavily masked and not obvious at all but once I learned that hidden language, clues and target behavior in this mess they could hide no longer.

Falsing issues, sure if you turn it up because these are designed to be high gain detectors but the thinking that you have to turn these things up to get deep is not true at all on these so there are many settings available to let you hunt quietly but still hit jaw dropping depths if that is what you like to do.
In a few sites I had extremely unusual amounts of EMI and I sometimes hunt with pretty hot settings because I just got used to that and chatter does not usually bother me.
Most Fisher users that have experienced this have noticed that there us a method to that madness and no matter what is going on Fishers will usually stop most bad behavior and tell you in some way they are swinging over good targets even in heavy EMI with high settings.

Depth...in great soil these are phenomenal with any coil but especially that big DD F75 coil.
I have had extremely good ID's on targets at major depths, not all the time depending on site conditions but most of the time and many times those accurate ID's have dropped my jaw in the 8-12"+ level.

For some reason deep beaver tail tabs at 10" do maddeningly report as high tone coins most of the time but this seems to be common on most detectors and when this did happen I was always grateful there was an actual target down there after digging such a deep hole even if it was trash.

Mine has been upgraded to the DST level and pretty much has the same issues as what Elton said.

It does seem to run a little quieter, and the detection depth is not effected as much by swing speed as before upgrade.

The key to success in the iron with the F75 is a smaller coil and turn the sensitivity down. Even in DE mode at sensitivity of 60, coins can be picked out amongst iron to depths of 7-8". Listen for the hint of a high tone while rotating around the target. Second point, the ground must be fairly dry or the iron will over power the machines electronics.

Had my F75 upgraded last year and have had a lot of fun with it. Even before the upgrade I just did not over power the coil. But you can max out the settings and run. My goto settings for trashy parks is JE mode, Disc 4, Sens 35, no notch, 3 tone. Now BP mode can be used to check deep iffy signals. You could hunt with BP mode but I dont have settings dialed in for that. In iron infested sites I had a lot of mask issues. Small coil may have helped, but I had a AT Pro with me for the iron sites. Now since the upgrade my 11 in" inch stock coil is the best coil for the machine. The machines was set up with the 11" inch coil.

Now I did wiggle my coil connector loose and get sand in it. Talk about falsing and no targets. My F75 also does not like wet grass. So let the sun come up and knock the dew off. Even at my low settings you can still hit targets at 10 inches in the ground. Those setting will work in trashy places. You may have to clean up the trash targets to get deeper. Since there is so many modes and settings on the F75, use what you know to get targets. Finally if you can run All Metal mode and learn it, you will have a deep deadly detector.
