Couple questions 'bout F75 LTD coils...

FINALLY pulled the Trigger on a new unit for me! F75 LTD with 3 coils & inline probe. My question(s) are...
The 11" coil is a DD - So is the 5" - does anyone know if the 10" is a Concentric or a DD? Which ever,
do me a BIG favor and spell out for an idiot like me what the best applications for these 2 coils are??
(I know the best apps. for the 5"er. Thanks in advance guys!!

The 10" is a concentric coil. You don't hear much about F75 users using the 10" instead of the stock 11" DD. You do hear about a lot of F70 users mothballing their stock 10" concentric for the 11" DD.

PulltabPirate,
Over the wet sand at salt water beaches, I like the 10 inch concentric over the 11 inch DD ... and I tend to like bigger coils at the beach. In that particular environment, on the F75 LTD, the 10 inch concentric lets me hunt without having to do as much constant adjustment of ground balance as I need with the 11 inch DD. The concentric also has cleaner ID of iron than the DD meaning I am fooled less with the concentric. Must say that the F75 LTD does very well over the wet salt sand, but is not the set up I most frequently grab to go to the beach; actually it is about fourth on the list of what I'll pack.

Over dirt, I use the 11 inch DD most of the time and put on the 6 inch elliptical when it's trashy or to get near playground poles (although the 5 inch coil does well too). The F75 LTD with the 11 inch DD is now getting the most dirt hunting time for me, although I do get out with the other detectors too.
Cheers,
tvr
