Crappy Weather, Too Much Snow!!!!

I am so sick of winter holding on and not letting spring take its turn. We have so much snow here in Montana it is not even funny. The Flathead river basin is at just over 150% of normal snow pack for the year. And it is still snowing. This sucks!!!!!!!! Sure there is no snow down in the low lands and valleys but it puts a serious damper on detecting if you need to get up in the mountains to detect for gold nuggets. Pist off at the weather!!!!!!!!! I wonder if the Government has anything to do with these changes with the H.A.R.P. program in Alaska. Expeirments!

Ahh! a fellow conspiracy theorist! We are the awakened ones! lol! Tesla tech 100 years later... according to the goverment its only an auroral research program :crylol: http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/

digmeahole, wanna hear something funny? Every time it snows in the spring or the weather is crappy like today, when it should be better like in years past, I get mad at the gov. because I feel they are behind it to further collapse our economy to bring America under a global economy. I.E. the Amero. Screw that!!!
So where on east Long Island are you? I used to live in Elmont, North Valley Stream and Franklin Square on Long Island. I worked at Foodtown in Merrick and also Mom's Baegals & Tables. (Think I misspelled baegals) Did you get your E-trac yet?

I agree with you 100%. They are destroying this country from the inside out. In my view there is going to be another revolution and its already started with the likes of Ron Paul and the Tea party movement. Also Alex Jones and many others are causing the sheep to wake up! Hopefully it will remain peaceful one. On to a brighter subject!

I live out east in Ridge next to Manorville. I grew up in the Bronx and then moved out to Lindenhurst years ago and then out to Ridge aka "Fridge" lol aka "Gateway to the Pine Barrens" Got the E-Trac yesterday and could not be happier! Richard at Back woods gave me a great deal with a trade in so i could not say no. Waiting for the Sun ray X1 probe to arrive hopefully by Monday.

How in the world did you go from NY to Montana? Must be so beautiful out there.....

Your mountain snows is rain almost everywhere else. Here in northern Pa we're having the wettest spring I can ever remember of. It's a good thing they make 2 Qt. zip-lock baggies (they are made just for the XT's aren't they?) and that I don't mind detecting in drizzles. Also permanently mounted a gallon size baggy to the Safari, though it can be a pain to keep wiping off the plastic with a towel every so often just to read the TID's! After our latest severe downpour with large hail and extremely high winds, wrote this little ditty. " Hail, hail its all done, but the creeks are full with more to come. Chances are, by the first of May, we'll all be floating in Chesapeake Bay". The things one will write when he can't be out there dirt fishing...

I am from Montana. I was in NY when I was in the Navy, I was engaged to a full blood sicillian girl in Elmont. I sure would like to detect Belmont raceway park. All those people over the years reaching their hands in their pockets pulling money out to place bets on the horses. Wouldn't that be nice. She got cold feet and called off the wedding. I think it was a blessing in disguise. Montana is very beautiful and a great place to live. If the new madrid fault and san andres fault ever go, all of Montana will be high and dry. No tornados, no major earth quakes, no water mocacins, no copperheads, just rattlesnakes in areas but not up where I live. I live 50 something miles from Canada and about 20 something miles west of Glacier Park. The only thing we would have to worry about is Hungry Horse Dam breaking. It is 500 and something feet high. the concrete is getting old and brittle. Last sept I was working on the crane on the dam and I kicked the high curb ontop of the dam on the road and broke off a chunk of concrete. That is a little scarry! The resavoir behind dam is 60 miles long. It is huge. This valley would be wiped out. I wish there were more ghost towns up in my neck of the woods but there aren't. Have to go down around Helena for those. good chance of finding gold coins at these places around Helena. I gotta get up into the mountains to hunt for gold nuggets. That 705 sure is a great detector for nuggets. I miss all the Italian women in NY and the dellis. Also miss good bagels. When I get to the mountains, I will be camped up towards the top of this mountain range by Helena for around 1-3 Months. Half of that time I will be alone. can't wait. Just me, the grizzlies, black bears, and other wildlife. I will have my Springfield XD 45 auto and my AK-47 on me at all times up there. Had one guy pull a pistol on me up at Libby in the mountains in 2002. He was spooked and was shaking as he pointed the pistol at me. The last two years I have had bears in my camp. One during the day and one in the middle of the night. A little unnerving to say the least.

Wow thats a great Story! Do you take any videos when you go camping? Be nice to see them. God help you with the sicilian girl! Hot tempered and Thick headed been my experiences lol. Then i married a half Italian / German beauty who is just as stubborn if not worse! :starwars: lol wouldn't have it any other way. Hopefully one day i will see Montana and the rest of the country. We plan on RV-ing every state when i retire which inst any time soon...

New update on snow level in Flathead Valley. I read in the paper today that the snowpack-water equivilent is 181% above normal her for the Flathead River Basin. Hope the dam holds. HAHAHA!

Well, get a raft ready....If the dam dam dont hold then you can float with the water. Well...depends on how high the front wave is.
