Ctx 3030 wavy lines on screen

strikeeagle

New member
I just put my new ctx 3030 together and turned it on and there is wavy lines on the screen, has anyone had this issue?

I don't recall hearing anything about this kind of an issue. Do/did you have a good charge on the battery? When I turn my CTX on the Minelab Logo is the first thing on the screen.

Yes, I put new alkaline battery pack in also same result. Spoke with technical support and it is on the way back for replacement.

We had some folks with problems because they hadn't peeled the protective plastic sheet off of the detector display, it is also polarized so you may see something like wavy lines if you are wearing glasses.

I bet this indeed was the issue.

]Hello everyone,
Great site, first time user of the CTX3030 have been using it for about 3 wks now and must admit it was a bit daunting at first but I am slowly getting used to it.
I too was wondering about the wavy lines on the screen and it only happens when I am using my Sun Glasses. Just realised I still have the protective plastic sheet on , I will remove it and give it a try tomorrow.

I don't wear sunglasses when detecting, but several have commented that wearing polarized sun glasses glasses may be causing you to see the lines on the screen.
