Found this lovely partial child's fork with my hunting buddy capri_auto last weekend (still cleaning the plethora of relics we unearthed). I really like this spoon....I thought I saw the number 21 on the handle and asked my "eyes" Chris to check it out. He just laughed and said that's cupid! It took a lot of work to clean this up a bit and I finally found the Maker's Mark "Art Silver Co." on the back. Little information on this co, one the web but I found one for sale on eBay. I bought one! Guess it was silver plated at one point....would love to know how it broke and ended up where it did. Anyone know any more about this co and the approx date of manufacture?

That looks a lot more like one of Michaelangelo's cherubs on the Sistine Chapel ceiling to me. (Do a Google search on "michelangelo cherubs"; it's the cherub on the left).

:usaflag:This summer I found an old Gerber baby spoon at an older (former) churchyard. I thought I would be nice and give it back to the landowner, as it was really the only nice find I dug out of there. And her only comment was, "Are you sure it the only thing you found?"...as she threw the spoon in the sink with the rest of her dirty dishes. What a b!tch...I will never offer-up anything I find ever again...unless they ask for it.
