Cure For A Tight Weather/Head Cover

I saw in some posts about this problem. I took mine and turned it inside out and with a SHARP pair of sicssors, carefully cut the excess seam material off, just leave 1/8 of an inch extra CLOSE to the sewn seam. Do this and the cover will slip on and off easy. The pics are of the seams that you need to trim. Mark

very good well done the scissors are slicing as we speak.

I just did mine it goes on much better now Thanks
Don

GREAT IDEA!!! removed mine at luch to change out the batteries...thought I was going to break the machine. Thanks!

Order a cover with my new machine. I'll be snipping mine also. You rock!!

Took your tip and cut the edges..... it now goes off and on easily.
Thanks,
Joe

Never bothered with a proper cover. I've used the same thing on many detectors over the years, a simple ladies shower cap! Less than a dollar in any el cheapo store, fits any control box, completely WATERPROOF and you can see every control as well as the screen and easily operate every function. Just avoid the ones with the oh so lovely flower or bird patterns !!
Wal.

Yes, I guess there are other ways to protect the control head, I have used sandwich bags for the Xterra, (They fit great!!) but, as with accessories on cars & trucks, I like the OEM look. To each his own. I have enough gear that has the Minelab logo on it that they should pay me for advertising!!......Mark
