Customer Service

mdowling my only experience with sending back a detector for service to first texas was my grandsons bounty hunter pioneer 202.I think it took about 2 weeks and that included shipping both ways and weekends so i was pleased with the service i had from first texas especially since i live in Illinois so shipping time has to be calculated as well...hope this helps you a little, remember to call them first to get a RA# which is an authorization number you use when sending in for repair..Markmac

Thanks,I am trying to make up my mind about a new machine, leaning towards an Omega.Man,it can be perplexing,so many to chose from.

I had a pin point problem and was heading up north for some fishing and detecting in two weeks. Talked with both Felix and Hector explaining the situation and I had the detector back 3 days before I was leaving for the north country. Great service in my opinion. HH jim tn

Hi mdowling,

I have a Teknetics Omega 8000 Metal Detector with the 10" Search Coil and the 11" DD Search Coil in excellent condition that I want to sell. I bought this for my wife, but she never goes hunting. It is a great machine and goes very deep. Buying a used one is a great way to save some money. jmotycka@yahoo.com if you are interested.

mdowling, i can tell you this if an Omega is one your considering by all means BUY one.It is one fantastic metal detector and probably the best money i have spent on a metal detector for the price. The Omega for the price is fantastic and its a killer for coin hunting which is what i do at a large park cross the lake from me.I have the three coil package that they offer and its nice to be able to switch coils for diff hunting needs. The omega has ground balancing by either the simple way of using the ground grab pad by pushing it in and bobbing the coil up and down a few times and mine has always locked on a number quickly ground balancing it and you know your good to go.You also have the option of manually ground balancing as well for tweaking in certain areas. The other nice thing on the Omega you have a choice of 4 diff tones and also the choice of all metal mode or disc mode. This detector is so simple to use and to me for the money its a BEST BUY today..To be honest with you i have been so impressed with the Omega that i bought my brother in law a delta 4000 which he is having a blast with, its more of a turn on and go detector but very hard to beat for 279.00 and just a few weeks ago i bought a gamma 6000 as a back up to my Omega and again its one awsome detector as well. What i like about the Omega it comes std with the 10 inch elliptical coil which im very fond of....if you order an Omega you will never look back and second guess your decision, i went through the same thing your going through now and read a lot about the Omega on here what Monte and the others had to say about it and it is One highly praised metal detector and it would have to be for these guys to make such comments as they have.Dave Johnson and his crew there at First Texas has it going on with the teknetics and Fisher line of detectors that they make.Welcome aboard.....Markmac

Thanks for the info.I think this is more difficult than buying a car.I know that sounds odd but it is truly a pain, but hopefully a good pain!

mdowling if you buy the Omega the only pain you will have is the pain in your body from digging so many good targets, oh and by the way i also sell cars lol....Markmac
