CX headphones question

Eric

New member
I tried to use 2 pairs of headphones that I use on my tesoro but they dont work on my master hunter cx. What headphones will work good?

Thanks, Eric.

Mmmmm, I wonder if it might be an issue of mono vs. stereo compatibility? Take it to a store where they sell headsets, and try various types. Perhaps there is a broken wire in the female headphone jack? I hope you resolve the issue quickly :)

Did the headphones not work at all or did you just get sound out of one side? Garretts of that vintage are wired differently than Tesoros. Go to Detectusa.com for an excellent discription and diagram of this. If you got sound out of one side, you could use headphones with a compatibility swithch{Mono-Stereo} or possibly simply use a mono-to stereo adapter which will result in some loss of sound quality.By. the way, those were (are} GREAT detectors.

I guess its just that. Its thecase that I hear sound from only one side. Hmmm...... I will check if it gets better with a mono-headphone. Thanks, Eric.

My CX requires me to pull the jack out just a tad to get sound from both sides of the headphone. No matter which headphones I use, pushing the jack all the way in give me sound only out of one side.

I just tried it with 3 pairs of headphones. It did not work with my Timberwolves but it work with a Koss and a cheapo set. The trick is not to push the entirely in.

Thanks for the tip!

HH, Eric.
