CX Plus Question

Square Nail

New member
Hi Guys, I have a question or two about the Garrett MH CX Plus. Does the "non-motion" All Metal mode require motion? The big Brown truck delivered mine two days ago. In initial testing in my test garden and lawn area, mine seems to NOT be "non-motion". If I put a quarter on top of the lawn and hover above it in all metal mode, Fast Track GB balanced, the signal will decay/fade within about 2 seconds. If I moved off then back on the signal repeats this behavior. Is this the case with other CX Plus detectors? My trusty Master Hunter 7 has a true "Non-motion" All Metal mode but the CX Plus doesn't seem to behave that way. Curious...

Thanx

Thanks John-Edmonton. It sounds like the All metal Non Motion mode on the CX Plus has auto tune audio. I really like the normal/manual audio on the MH7. It has a switchable Manual/Auto tune audio. But with the CX Plus all metal it does seem that it requires motion (auto tune), thus not what I had interpreted all these years to mean Non Motion. My new CX Plus seems to be capable in the test garden but, I was wondering if I needed to send it back for repairs (All Metal mode behavior). I guess the industry standard for Non Motion All Metal is not what I had understood it to be. Happy Hunting!
