Looking possibly to trade my mint, mint condition Fisher CZ-3D detector (not a1021 series) for possibly another coin detector with target id. Pictures available on request. Comes with Fisher large hard carry case and 8" coil cover. What have you got?

I believe all the 1021 talk is overhyped. I've got a newer CZ 3D, not a 1021, that air tests and i.d.'s correctly a dime slightly over 13 inches. Like to see a 1021 do that.

I agree the newer models are just as good and some are even hotter. The typical variances from machine to machine are different with every machine made. I had a 1021 CZ-3D a couple of years back and it wasn't any deeper than my CZ-5 or my CZ-7a Pro. The CZ-7a Pro was actually a couple inches deeper and it Id'ed targets better too. All CZ's are deep regardless of the serial number. Some may be hotter but they are all within a certain range regardless whether its a Los Banos model or a First Texas model.

My 1021 certainly can't do 13", however, I trust Dankowski when he says the older CZ3D's were fine tuned better than the newer ones, on average.

I'd like to buy an CZ-3D that air tests a dime at 13" (LOS Banos or no)!!----All the ones I've seen (FT or the old Fisher) wouldn't.---You must have a really exceptionaly hot machine--better hang onto it!

Or use one of those "Texas" sized fish scales............whatever works!

I had a original first run CZ-3D that I should have held on to. Then I purchase a new one.The problem wasn't so much depth ,But the catagory's on old coin's would read wrong. And you couldn't run the sens. past 6 with out falsing! After 3 trip's to F.T. it was better ,But still not the same as my 1021!

Not really interested in gettin' with your wife, no disrespect to her, but thanks for the invite.
