CZ 3D Question

Is the Cz 3D deeper than the other CZ machines? I was wondering if the enhanced mode boosted sensitivity aside from expanding the width of the notch.

Jerry,
I've read everything that Fisher put out on the 3D. I've also been monitoring this website since the 3D's inception. I've collected a lot of posts including Dankowski's. I've never seen anyone claim more depth for the 3D over the other CZs. Dankowski says that it will better ID deep old coins causing you to dig more good coins. I've never owned any other detector other than the 3D, so I can't give you any comparison of my own.

It may give better effective depth in some cases. Coins on edge come to mind. It seems to give a high tone for coins on edge at a greater depth than my cz70. That's just my perception though and I have no hard data to back it up. It also seems to have better target seperation in an iron rich environment. By that I mean it seems to pick out a coin and give a high tone in cases where the 70 would give a lower (non-coin) tone due to partial masking. This could be thought of as greater effective depth. Again, just my perception. I would find it hard to recommend one machine over the other since either one is killer.
