well got out yesterday for the 1st time in the water. Where is the hum? Is there never a hum, Im use to my whites and love the hummmmmmm. Is this something I will just have to get use to? Found a wooping 12 cent which doesnt bother me, at least I found something. Kind of hard swinging in the water, going to have to get use to that. Someone tell me that there is not spoce to be a hum please, Id hate to find out that something is wrong with this new macine . In a sence I kind of hope something is wrong with it so I could send it in to get the hum working.

crank the Sens. up to 10, and put her in Auto-Tune. You should hear a hum. You may have to turn the volume up past 5 for the Audio Boost, depending on your headphones.

I don't normally hunt in Auto-tune to hear a threshold.
If you really want to save battery time, learn to pinpoint with the "X" style of pinpointing. I only run a pinpoint when I want a depth reading.
