CZ21 coil and headphone cables

Hi CZ21 users --- Have any of you or know of anyone who has cut the coil and headphone cables and connected waterproof cable junctions in them so that the coil and headphones can be detached from the machine to dismantle it for more compact packing and transportation --- have a need for the machine to be packed in a smaller place.

If it could be done, would cutting the coil cable and putting a joiner in the cable interfere with the factory tuning of the CZ21?

Putting a connector on the coil cable shouldn't affect tuning. The non-water proof CZ's all have coils with connectors.

Even shorting the cord doesn't affect it.
