dan, i gought a new yellow one today

I used Gorilla glue on mine and haven't had any problems. I did switch to the 10" coil today for our seeded hunt so I used the plastic rivets Minelab uses as a precaution.

It expands to fill any voids so be prepared to grind (yes you will have to grind it) the excess off after curing. It worked out perfectly for me because my fishing pole shaft was slightly tapered and the glue filled it in nicely.

I also cut a section of the pole and ground the mating surface to fit over the full shaft leaving the sides with flaps that extend past the center point of the shaft. These flaps, along with some glass mat and epoxy mounted the handle very firmly.
I guess I will have to break down and take some additional photos but not today. Club seeded hunt today.
I also came up with a very neat method of mounting the meter to the hand grip. I will get some photos of this too.
Dan
