Date? Iowa Add Token

I found this last year in an old park about 10" deep. Many coins dating back to the 1860's have been found there but the park dates to the mid 1870's.It is the same size as a half dollar but thinner. It appears to be made of brass but has some rusty looking areas. Any one have any ideas how old it is and is it simply an advertising token?
Thanks, Chuck

The case of the mysterious Mr. Edwin Theodore Bartruff and his store in Keokuk is intriguing. Not alot can be found out about him on the net.Connable and Bartruff was a clothing store advertized in 1886 in Keokuk. If you assume that he had a partner before he had his own shop that would make your token post 1886.He and his wife Florence had their first daughter Edith in 1890 so he must have still been young then.I'm sure someone who is related to the fellow might help you out some more or would love to see your find. Here's a link to a genealogical site with an e-mail contact listed.
