Dave has all but disappeared since the rumors of a First Texas dual frequency detector surfaced. I figure he does not want to be bombarded with questions, but if this new dual frequency detector is for real, I for one am excited. Come on Dave shed some light!

Yes , please don't let us hang.

I suspect we are going to be hanging, but I, too, would like to see a multi frequency T and F come along thats water proof. HH jim tn

If this is the machine that was seen on "Dig Wars". Maybe the cast member that was using it can shed some light on the subject. Has anyone tried to contact them though the TV network? They probably don't get that much fan mail (e-mail) that they can't answer it all yet.

The guy who used it is the World Sales manager for First Texas ......... (Teknetics) So I'm pretty sure he can't say too much.

I would venture to guess it might be called the t2m. Sounds right to me and smartly designed to not only reflect the sun's mighty light on users of other brands to blind them or perhaps mask you're great findsfrom onlookers whilst using the chrome. Novation!!!!!! I would venture to say it needs an emerald green grip to complete the package. All kidding aside I'm sure it's gonna. Shut the competition. Down in terms of the technology. Behind the best balanced. Deepest fastest multi freq machine on this planet!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to a release. Hats of to the first Texas design team. And engineers. I'm loving my f75 ltd. And didn't think it could get any better!!!!!! Guess I might be mistaken. HH. To all 2013. C t

Is this the same detector I read about in an on-line dealer blog? "Mike Scott debutes his "Dirt Digger" which is an original factory prototype of the now current T2 Special Limited Edition metal detector."

Kinda of funny but years ago before I became a dealer, I sprayed a complete Sovereign rod with chrome paint even the meter. The control box I had in a cover. My buddy took a picture of me with it and my finds and I had it posted. I had more guys writing me wanting to know what new detector that was, hmmm.

Larry, that crossed my mind. That chrome detector has stirred up the natives.
LOL

Of course First Texas is working on new detectors, if they stop they would be out of business in a few years. If you read some of the industries that they have purchased you will see that they are well aligned to produce mind blowing machines. They have military contracts and that is where technology springs forward from. They can't let the cat out of the bag because of the competition. In the near future the machines they produce will make whites and minelab look like mere toys in comparison. First Texas would want to get it right before releasing it. When the new machines come out they would be released at Christmas or early spring that's just common sense business. In the mean time use your machines and clean out those areas you like to hunt and when the new muscle machines come out buy them and yes you find more great items that you left behind. Leave poor Dave be, he is doing what he does best, engineering great detectors. I know they check the forums and they are sensing our desire for more depth, better discrimination etc.

Yup I believe manitobajay hit the nail on the head. Looking forward to the new unit. Units to come out of elpaso!!!! HH. C t

I agree with you on that. I started with a WHITES XLT. I then got a CZ 7 a pro & haven't looked back. So what ever the next top machine is that they put out will be in my stable for sure.
