Dawson Blank

Well-known member
This is known as a Dawson Blank. It was for a Dickson and Nelson carbine. It came from an old warehouse in Dawson, Georgia. Dickson and Nelson are better known for their Mississippi rifle copy but they did produce a carbine as well, although information on it is scarce.
This is what I have found on the net.

Looks like a good blank for a double-barrelled shotgun.

ff, yes, a nice find. I think it would have some really nice "figure" to it. Does Dawson produce carpet like it did years ago? I bought many a "yard" there back in the "80's. A LOT of carpet mills there.

I think you are thinking of Dawsonville in North Georgia. As best as I can remember there were no carpet mills in Dawson, But, I could be wrong. I will have to check into it.
