Day 2 with New Safari

Roy F.

New member
Day 2 out with the new Safari. (I promise going forward I will not post all hunts in sequential order ie: Day 3 & so on blah blah).

Interesting hunt today of about 2.5 hrs.

John4840: I did try and hunt in ferrous mode today and the tones are a little different. I think I need a little more time with the
Safari to notice the advantages.

I hunted the same site I did yesterday (circa 40's trash infested school) still getting good targets even though I cherry picked
this place pretty good with my ole Bounty Hunter.

Picked up my oldest coin on record today: 1929S Wheatie along with a 1942 3 Pence?? Huh?? The 3 Pence hit hard like a nickel @14.

Sounds about right the Great Britain 3 pence is made of nickle bronze, cool find. Great job on the wheatie. The US 1 dollar gold coin will hit in the nickle range too.

Thanks for the heads up on the Dollar US gold coin John. I always have and will continue to dig nickles.
Come to think of it.... I dug this and (3) other clad nickles when in ferrous mode, I remember the low grunt tone.

Right On!
Roy
