Day 5 in the woods.:fisher:

Day five in the woods this week and silver continues to stay hidden. Digging enough coins, though, to know there is still some silver to be had. Dug several nickels this morning and 1 was a 1935 Buffalo. Nice to see 1 and even nicer to see a date. Also digging some lead so suspect there is a few older coins still hiding along with that elusive gold coin. Stay tuned, there are better days ahead. HH jim tn

You were really working those nickels today! :clapping: Whats that square thing by the bullets? Somebodys attempt at a dice?
Man, Have you prepared yourself mentally for the gold coin so you dont go into shock? Its there someplace..you know in all your years of detecting how many you have been within inches of?

The square thing is a piece of lead. Probably dropped before it made it to a bullet mold. I've hunted two old turn of the century fairgrounds and a resort and these woods that would have the potential for a gold coin. I've frequently wondered if I ever found a gold coin if I could finish out that days hunt. LOL I've found to many big, old silver coins in these woods not to think that a gold coin or two wasn't lost as well. I actually had more nickels then tabs today. I am rooting for a warming trend for you up your way. HH jim tn

JimTN. If anybody is going to find a gold coin in those places it will be you ! When you least expect it you will find it . The only reason i dug mine was because I had a iffy signal that I thought was an old button with my MXT. There is no doubt in my mind that the f75 will hit gold real well and I would also like to get one with my F75. I wish that I could find a small portion of all that nice silver that you find . Ezra

your bound to have dry spell once in a while at least you got a buf like ezra said if anyone is going to find a gold coin i would bet on you hh

Hi Jim,

Were there any dice markings on that square? I was just watching "Diggers" and saw them find the same thing, but it was clearly a die. I guess pirates/soldiers used to make dice out of their bullets for make-shift gambling out in the woods, or wherever. Check it over closely with a magnifying glass to be sure. Cools finds!!!!

Jealous in Wisconsin! :sadwalk:
