Decal removal

Eric

New member
I wonder what is the best way to remove a damaged decal from the coil without using an aggressive method. Anyone has a good suggestion?

Thanks, Eric.

You could add some heat from a hair dryer and peal it off.

Absolutely right. I worked 9 years in a body shop and that is how we removed decals on cars. We used heat guns, but a hair dryer should work fine. The big fire-bird decal on the hood was a fun one to remove. Just as much fun to replace.

I will try the hair dryer then...

Bruce.. I have the 3.5x7" eliptical for the old models that use the crossfire coils and not the II. And Garrett stopped producing this coil years ago.

Thanks, Eric.

Don't use high heat, PLASTIC ya know, then remove the sticky that remains in few spots with some WD40, works good :detecting:

I have a spray can of decal & sticker remover I got at my local automotive supply. It is called B'LASTER DSR DECAL & STICKER REMOVER.
It works pretty good.
