Decent day at some cellar holes

CT Todd

Well-known member
I got out with a friend yesterday. We hit 4 cellar holes in about 7 hours. Social Distancing. I got a mixed bag with a CT Copper, a do it yourself Draped bust 1/2 cent, buttons, horse bling, pewter button, and I think a poor counterfeit attempt at an 8 Reale. Fun day We started in snow with an inch on the ground but it was all gone by noon. Get out there

Nice saves and finds at the cellar holes. You and your Buddy did well. Congrat's on getting out for a hunt.

Great hunt Todd... I knew I saw that bridal rosette somewhere before..I found the same one bout 10 years ago..I think I also have that same tombac button that you have posted on you 4/8/20 post.. come to think of it I think I found both at a colonial era iron mine in my area which also use to give up a higher percent of Connecticut coppers to US.. I’ve often wondered if this mine was somehow financially backed by a New England company as some of the finds are different than what I find at similar sites in my area from the same era.. Happy hunting..
