For those of you that have dug some some deep coins, say 8" and deeper, how accurate was the depth reading? I have found with my T 2 that targets under actural depths of up to 7" or so, tend to read 2-3" deep then the targets actually are. However, on deep targets I am finding that the depth readings are very close to that actual depth. A couple of days ago I dug a Merc. dime that read 9" and it was a measured 8 1/2." This morning I dug a Standing Liberty no date d quarter that read a 11" depth and was a measured 11." For those interested, the dime id'ed 82-84 with a nice high tone tic in 3 tones. The best reading I could get on the quarter was a 78-79 and the high tone had a little quiver to it. The quarter, however was slightly slanted. Thanks for your answers. HH jim tn
