Looking for deep coins would the 3 khz be the best coil you think?
Thanks all for the help.

The 3kHz or 7.5kHz would be my choices for coins. It would depend on the speciffic site conditions as to which I'd choose.

In the FAQ FAQ sticky at the top of the forum page, you'll find links to a four part blog that Randy Wrote on "Which Xterra Coil Is Best For Me?" You might find it useful for making your selection.

I've found some pretty deep coins with my 10.5" MF coil. This past summer I found an 1899 barber quarter about 8" down. It seems to be my deepest coil but the reaction time is not quite as fast as the HF version of this coil.
