Whats the deepest old silver coin anyone has found with the ace 250? and what kind of signal was it? just trying to learn somethingcause i can't go tectin,, hate it!!!:rage::rage::stars:

I got a 1970 penny at 10" with the big coil in dry soil last summer. Most of the deep coins I hit are 6" to 8".

Same here found quite a few 70's pennies with the standard coil at 10" most were in the 4"-6" range sandy (Fla.) soil in yard. I also found that 1977 Hernando Desoto Token in 6"-8" range.

I can relate to the damm snow. Bench testing with the sens cranked but stable looks like depth should not be a problem. I've heard that you can get 7 inch with the 4.5 coil?

Wasn't old silver but I've pulled up clad quarters from ten inches in damp bark chips with the stock coil.

i got a 1835 sixpence at an old site with hardly any rubbish at 9-10 inch in all metal with max senc it was bouncing between high to iron tones in pinpoint i could hardly hear it i almost gave up digging it but glad i did int.

That was a nice find. Depth depends on the soil or composition of.and content of. I know one of the first things I discovered about the 250 when I field tested it long ago - it will detect deeper than it can pinpoint.
