Deepstar pulse delay

If one were to turn the pulse delay to the upper end at 90uS what would this setting do to your detector characteristics?
 
It would allow you to have the detector adjusted to metals most responsive at 90uS.
It would not cut your depth like the PI detector you are use to using.
