Deepstar: Test Spin

Well all excited I went to the old fair grounds and race track. I hunted in full power, sensitivity clockwise, Freq.12 o'clock, SAT in the fast then slow mode, Reject-min., No threshold about 12 o'clock, 8" loop. All went well till I could not hear the siginal and thought this was the machines way of saying I'm out of power or the headphones went bad. What happened is through all the brush I negotiated through I hit the switch on the headphones from stereo to mono. Well I packed up and went home only to discover the real problem. My take was 2 nails and a bullet the size of the metal end on a pencil at 9" deep. Will be out Monday to a 60 year old beach with a high concentration of people and deep targets just out of most detectors reach.

I prefer it over my Aquastar on the wet sand as the 11" coil is very light, opposed to the weighted water coil of the A.S. In the water, of course I use the Aquastar. I've never used a PI on land yet and look foward to a report from you at the fairgrounds.
I'm upstate now and have been trying different machines and coils in the trash at a fairgrounds, but no PI's. I can't even imagine how someone wouldn't go completely insane, I have, <IMG SRC="/forums/images/biggrin.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":D"> with my Explorer's and Sov.. Looking forward to you reports.
