Deleon is a keeper

I took the Deleon out this last weekend. I hit $5.81 in clad in 3.5 hours with the cleansweep.

15 of the coins recovered were nickels. That is a new personal record for me - I've never found that many nickels in a single hunt over the span of 3 decades.

I also dug up 3 rings, including a big, heavy .925 silver ring with an elephant figure holding a ball. And three necklaces - all junk, but the chains were intact on two. Toss in three larger pins, a watch band, and a campaign-style button, and it was a pretty rad day for personal items.

Overall the Deleon has been making the cleansweep reach down a little further than the Silver and Golden. I am really happy with the pairing and will keep the Deleon. That puts the Silver on the bubble - trouble is that I want to keep the 8" coil <sigh> - maybe I need to keep it for a guest to use :)

dont get me intrested in that one now , say you did good , if you are hitting nickles now Gold will follow you just did not go over a gold ring , if one is out thear its yours

Nice going! For some strange reason, I'd rather dig a nickel than dime. I guess it's because I know that I'm on the right track to finding a gold ring.

The deepest targets the Deleon has hit for me.... pulltabs. There is something about the nickel range that it loves, I guess. I've pulled a couple of tabs from around 5.5" which lets me know that I've got what I need for the good stuff.

I hear you, tabman. It is mute testimony to hard work.

Gunnar, you keep trying to sell an Outlaw to me - fair is fair :)
