Delta 4000 finds this morning

Hello,

I hit a local swimming hole this morning, finally had a good hunt. Found 7 quarters, 4 nickles, 5 dimes, 25 pennies and 2 junk rings. Oldest coin found was a 1965 quarter. I had sensitivity set to 9, only iron was notched out, disc level set at 10 and am using a Fisher F5 10" concentric coil. I dug a few pull tabs and a buttload of busch lite twist caps (must be a local favorite). One thing I noticed with the Delta is that pennies would often show as dimes, is this normal? Not a big deal, I go by tones and then look at the screen to see what it is, I dig by the tone regardless of the screen.

Thanks for looking,

Joe

Noticed on my delta that the high tones start at 82. And like monte stated pre 83 copper pennies will most times read as a dime...........
