Delta 4000 without 1/4 inch headphone jack?

My wife's Delta 4000 only has the 1/8 inch headphone jack? why??? Most pics I have seen has them both 1/8 and 1/4. Please help.
 
Yeah we did that and it works fine. I was just wandering why her particular model don't have the 2 jacks.
 
Dirtmaster i think they changed the delta to two headphone jacks when they brought the Omega out the older delta units only have the one head phone jack from what i have read hope this helps you...Markmac...
 
Thanks guys. I thought the age had something to do with it.
 
No John unfortunatly it has the 1/8th inch and I had to get an adapter. I just don't see the point in the 1/8th inch jack. I dont't see anyone using earbuds for detecting!!

I use ear buds, but only use them in one ear so I can be aware of my surroundings, and hear my pinpointer. Works for me.:thumbup:
 
dirtmaster where did you buy your Delta? Was it a local store or an online store and what is the name of the store?

I'm asking because I'm finally going to be able to buy a Delta instead of the Alpha and I don't want to get an older model by mistake. I would like to buy a Delta with the 1/4 inch jack.

I'm planning on buying from Amazon.com or Kellycodetectors.com. The pic on Amazon.com is the old Delta 4000 with 1 headphone jack. At Kellycodetectors.com you pay a little more but get a pinpointer and headphones. The pinpointer would be nice but I may be able to just use the pinpointer built into the Delta 4000 and save batteries for just the detector. I already have a $50 Whites 1/4 inch plug headphones so I don't need extra headphones. Kellycodetectors.com may have a more recent model with both headphone jacks and an updated software installed?

Hmm....
