Depth question

I read back through all the Goldscan-5 posts I could find but did not see a direct answer to the question of depth. For the issue of comparing the GS-5 to The GQSSv.2 what would the theorectical depth difference be between the little GQSSv.2 and it's bigger cousin the Goldscan-5?
I realize this is a difficult issue, however, is there an expected difference in depth between them? Or are all the other features on the Goldscan-5 the real differences?

Thanks
